Best Practices for a Healthier Community: Building Partnerships to Reduce Health Disparities
The Commission held its the first health conference hosted by LifeBridge Health, Inc., Sinai Hospital, to discuss the importance of cultural awareness in Maryland's health system. Cultural diversity is the core engine that drives this country and its impact at this time has significant implications for health care delivery and policymaking throughout the United States. The conference brought key stakeholders together to share and discuss the health needs of the Middle Eastern community and explored best practice models to improve our community health outcomes and reduce health disparities.

LifeBridge Health, Inc. provided the location at their Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center & Hospital, lunch, and speakers. Their support helped make the Commission's first conference a success.
